Meet Rabbi Ballaban

It is hard for me to imagine what my life would have looked like without Judaism: I am a product, in so many ways, of a Jewish family upbringing and a Jewish education. I was lucky enough to attend Jewish day school as a child, I was active in Jewish youth groups and summer camps, and my family was deeply involved in Jewish life. As a rabbi, I try to share Judaism’s many gifts with those whom I serve. I am especially passionate about working with Jewish youth, and I strive to help them create formative Jewish memories of their own that they can cherish throughout their lives. I strongly believe that the process of securing Jewish continuity starts with educating our youth: As we read in Proverbs (22:6), teach a child his way, and thus when he grows old he will not stray from it.
