Rabbi Ari Ballaban was ordained by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in May 2015.
As an alumnus of Jewish day school and active member of Jewish youth groups and activities, Rabbi Ballaban is especially passionate about working with Jewish youth.
He began serving as Temple Beth Or’s Rabbi Educator at the beginning of the 2015-2016 religious school year and was named Assistant Rabbi in 2017. He lives in Cincinnati where he is a Ph.D. candidate in Rabbinic literature at the Hebrew Union College.
As the Ruslander-Friedland Teaching Fellow for the 2018-19 school year, Rabbi Ballban teaches courses in the University of Dayton’s Religious Studies Department. He also serves as the Jewish Community Relations Coordinator for the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton.
