“Tanach” is a Hebrew acronym for the Jewish Bible which includes the Torah (5 books of Moses), Ne’vi’im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (the Writings).
For many years members of Temple Beth Or and friends have come together to study and discuss the Jewish Bible verse by verse. Some come to broaden their historical understanding of Judaism, others to read the bible for the first time. Some are there for provocative discussion, others come just for the great pot luck breakfast and chevruta — friendship.
This class is one of the most enriching experiences at Temple Beth Or where the discussions vary from the meaning of life and death to the best recipe for kugel. Please come and enjoy one of the most enriching experiences at our congregation. No prior experience is needed.
The group typically meets the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the third Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
